DIVINE REFUGE_ FINDING PEACE IN THE SHELTER OF THE LORD

Nahum 1:7
The Lord is a stronghold in the day of trouble. And He knoweth them that trust Him.

I just want to remind us that our Lord Jesus Christ is a stronghold or our strong tower.  Being our strong tower, He is our security, He is our hope.  Proverbs 18:10 says , " The name of the Lord is a strong tower. The righteous runs into it and is safe.  We need not fear as He is our deliverer, our defense, our strength, and our comforter. Psalm 18:2 states, " The Lord is my protector, He is my strong  fortress.  My God is my protection, and with Him I am safe. He protects me like a shield, He defends me and keeps me safe."  If we trust Him, He will be our deliverer, He will be our security and defense.  His goodness and mercy will always follow us as we absolutely trust Him, obey His words, and live by and in the power of God's words.

Through this complete trust in God, we are fully assured that He knows us and everything about us.  He knows all that we are going through, our ups and downs, our good and bad.  He is infinitely amazing in His love toward us.  Why not trust God who is truly our tower of strength, our refuge, our creator, and our sustainer.  The Lord our God is good.

So in the midst of life storms, when troubles threaten to overwhelm us, let us find strength in this promise that the Lord is our stronghold.  He is our refuge.  He is our eternal refuge.  His love is our fortress and His grace is our shield.  Trust in Him today for He cares so much for all those who place their trust and faith in Him.

Lord Jesus, we thank you for being our stronghold, our refuge in the time of need.  May you empower us to live boldly for you, sharing your love and grace to all around us.  In Jesus' name. Amen
